Overview

A workshop to explore handwriting and the demand it places on children cognitively together with the impact it can have on their learning. To explore guidance from the National Handwriting Association and its practical implications within a classroom.

Our Aims

To explore the cognitive challenge of handwriting on children.

To develop strategies to support and develop handwriting through physical development.

To explore and discuss the application of National Handwriting Association guidance within the classroom.

Louise Templeton

Louise is a qualified teacher who has taught across all primary phases with more than 20 years’ experience, in a range of contexts. She holds the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership. Louise is a serving Executive Headteacher and Primary Improvement Partner with extensive senior leadership, teaching and learning, curriculum development and school improvement experience. She has provided temporary leadership support for schools facing challenging circumstances.
