Geography
Geography Primary Professional Network
Overview
The Primary Leads for Geography training program is an opportunity for Primary teachers across the Trust to work collaboratively, share expertise and discuss developments within the Geography curriculum. Geography leaders can share best practice and provide support to new and existing leaders within the Trust. Across the sessions, there will be a focus on curriculum development and improving the quality of Geography teaching in and outside of our classrooms and as a result will develop engagement in Geography across our Trust primary schools.
Our Aims
· Empower primary teachers to strengthen subject knowledge and leadership in Geography
· Enrich and develop teachers’ subject knowledge and impact of Geography through academic talks, resources and discussion, and the sharing of best practice
· Inspire teachers to consider how to develop engagement, enjoyment, curiosity and intellectual independence within and beyond the curriculum of Geography
