EYFS Leadership Network
Overview
A termly network bringing together EYFS leaders from across the trust to share practice, strengthen leadership, and support high-quality provision. Each session focuses on key early years priorities, enabling leaders to reflect on their own context, address challenges, and improve outcomes for all children.
Our Aims
· Develop strong, confident EYFS leadership across the trust by providing a collaborative forum for shared thinking, problem-solving and professional dialogue.
· Ensure consistency and high-quality provision across all schools within the EYFS Framework and best practice.
· Support leaders to drive improvements in outcomes for all children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds and with additional needs.
· Share effective practice and evidence-informed approaches to curriculum design, pedagogy, assessment and provision.
· Strengthen monitoring and evaluation skills, enabling leaders to confidently assess quality and impact in their settings.
· Provide updates on national and local developments in early years education and their practical implementation.
· Promote reflective practice and strategic thinking, ensuring EYFS leaders can lead sustainable, long-term improvement.

Natalie Maughan
Executive Head Teacher and Primary Improvement Partner
Natalie Maughan is the Executive Head Teacher of Bowburn Primary School, a Primary Improvement Partner, and the Trust’s Early Years Lead. Since joining the Trust in September 2025, she has led strategic development across Early Years and primary phases, with a focus on high-quality continuous provision, curriculum coherence, and leadership development. She brings extensive experience across the 9-months-to-Year-1 journey, supporting schools to embed research-informed practice that secures strong outcomes for all children.
